Trivia

  • In Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, Goliath Drow's gauntlets are bronze, while in Skylanders: Giants, their gauntlets are dark gray.
  • Their in-game description in Spyro's Adventure may be alluding to Juggernaut from X-Men, who has the power to become unstoppable once in motion.
  • In the alpha versions of Giants, Goliath Drow retained their bronze shields and had a different moving animation. They could also perform sharp turns if hit while charging, making them much harder to dodge.[1]
  • Earlier in Giants's development, reguliar Goliath Drow were treated as armored enemies. In order to damage them, the player first had to hit them enough to knock off their shields.[2]
  • One alpha version of Giants includes a scrapped announcer take that mispronounces "Drow."[3]
  • In the alpha version of Giants, Goliath Drow were originally to be renamed to ''Drow Goliath'' to possibly better fit in line with the rest of the Drow names format.
    • However in the 3DS version of Trap Team, this name change happens.
  • A Goliath Drow is used as the icon for the hard difficulty in Giants.
