Trivia

  • A Light elemental character resembling a Shadow Knight was planned to be a playable character during production of Spyro's Kingdom.[1]
  • The first Shadow Knight you encounter in Creepy Citadel can be hit with ranged attacks before his enemy introduction cutscene plays, but he can’t be defeated, as he is scripted to be invincible until after his cutscene is finished.
  • Strangely, they can walk on the whirlpools on the right of the main entrance to the citadel and in the first room of the citadel without being defeated, even though they can’t fly and aren’t of the water element.
  • Due to a glitch, for a couple seconds after they’re defeated, while their armor is crumbling, they can still be “hit” by attacks (damage numbers will still appear).
  • If you lure the Shadow Knight guarding the entrance to the citadel into falling into the lower area with the whirlpool on the right of the entrance, he will be stuck there forever until he is defeated, as the only way out of that area is the whirlpool in the middle of it, which he can’t take for obvious reasons. He will walk into the side of the ledge he just fell off of to try and hit you, and he will even do his sword slam attack if you are close enough to the ledge, but he can’t hit you with it since you’re above him.
