Game description

Rotting Robbies are zombie enemies encountered only in Cadaverous Crypt and Spyro's Heroic Challenge in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They slowly walk toward the Skylanders, often in groups, and swipe their arms to attack. They can only be defeated with fire-based attacks, such as Spyro's fire breath or any of the Fire elemental Skylanders' attacks. Any fire attack, cannon blast, or even candles will defeat them. If struck by other types of Skylanders' attacks, they will not take any damage but will eventually lose their limbs, causing them to attack by biting.

In Skylanders: Giants, Rotting Robbies are simply called Zombies and appear in Series 2 Chop Chop's, Series 2 Cynder's and Hot Dog's Heroic Challenge. In Hot Dog's, they can be defeated using any attack, while in Cynder's, they are the zombies you need to find the heads of. They are generally considered to have been replaced by Trog Wanderers.

In Return of the Dragon King, a group of Rotting Robbies and Bone Chompies chased and fought Cynder at the Cadaverous Crypts, causing her to lose a charm she needed to track down Calliope. The Undead fiends were soon driven off by Wallop.

Trivia

  • After taking some damage, Rotten Robbies will occasionally lose an arm. They will also sometimes spawn without said arm without taking any damage at all.
  • In other console versions, their heads are replaced by skulls.
  • The Robbies are affected by Drobot's Afterburners and Trigger Happy's Yamato Blast but only on the Wii version. In other versions, they have no effect.
  • Their design and weakness is similar to Frankenstein's Monster.
  • Some of them are different in certain ways, like having heads instead of skulls or certain limbs being bone or flesh.
  • Rotting Robbies have an unused Announcer line in Skylanders: Giants, implying they were to officially return
  • Two Rotten Robbies were spotted as spectators in Lightning Rod Faces the Cyclops Queen, throwing their heads in the air as they watch Lightning Rod's performance at the Storm Titan games.
