Chompy Worms are huge, Chompy-like creatures that resemble worms. They reside in the Golden Desert and are pets to the Golden Queen. The only way to defeat them is to use the catapult found in the desert to shoot them, which chips away at their brown armor. If defeated, their armor is broken off, allowing their wings to spread open and they fly away. If the Skylander attempts to cross the sand without defeating them first, the Chompy Worm will burst through the ground and swallow the Skylander whole before spitting them out.
A Chompy Worm is used as a hazard in the Golden Queen's arena.
