The Chompy Mage is a boss in Skylanders: Giants. He has a hand puppet of a Chompy that he talks to/with. The Chompy Mage has been terrorizing the Wilikin by sending in Chompies to attack them. The Wilikin would attempt to stop him themselves but every time, they catch him, the Chompy Mage switches between worlds. When the Skylander finds him, he is first in the form of a giant Chompy.
After taking some damage, he transforms into his true form and sends evil magic at the Skylander. To allow the Skylander escape the magic, Seraphina, a Wilikin girl, gives a special remote to the Skylander that allows them to switch worlds. Believing he has found the problem about this battle, the Chompy Mage switches forms again and again in an attempt to confuse the Skylander. When he is defeated, he loses control of his tranformations, and eventually 'explodes' due to magical overload.
Later, during the credits, he is seen on the dingy with Flynn. the two talk for a while then decide to leave to get enchiladas.
