Appears in: Skylanders Academy

The Cadaverous Crypts are a location in the Skylanders Academy television series. They are a dreary Undead location where the Dragon King Malefor cruelly reigns over his slaves.

Story

Season 2

The location is revealed as Cynder's homeland in Return to Cynder, when she ran away from Skylanders Academy believing she could never become a Skylander. When Team Spyro followed her to attempt to reason with the dragon, Malefor noticed Cynder and approached to invite her over to Taco Night, before noticing the Skylander team behind her.

Enraged, he fought the Skylanders, but Cynder intervened before they could be defeated through Spyro's encouragement. Though Malefor was temporarily defeated by their attacks, he got back up as soon as the group escaped the Crypts, announcing that his daughter would now be seen as an enemy.

Trivia

  • Despite the pluralization of the location's title from its ingame name, no crypts are actually seen as of Season 2.
  • The location uses a similar sky background as the one in the evil imbalance from The Skylands Are Falling!.
