- “Raining fire from above.”
- – Description in the game
Drow Archers, also known as Elf Archers, are enemies introduced in Skylanders: Giants. Despite being calledDrow, they take on the appearance of yellow imps. They fire arrows into the sky to strike their targets from above, and use a fiery stomp if Skylanders get close to them in certain circumstances.
They return in Skylanders: Trap Team for the Nintendo 3DS, under the name of Elf Archers, and with the appearance of actual Drow. One of them is a trappable Nightmare Villain.

Trivia
- Drow Archers share the same character models as Rocket Imps and Hob 'n' Yaros.
- Despite appearing as Imps in the final version of Skylanders: Giants, Drow Archers were originally modeled as regular Drow wearing armor. Their attack patterns were also different, firing flurries of flaming arrows in an arc (rather than shooting vertically into a target).[2]
- Due to the remodel from Drow to Imp being something the developers did very late in the game's development, them still being called "Drow Archers" may be an oversight.
- The Drow Archer's early description was "Speed, accuracy, FIRE."[3]
- In the Nintendo 3DS level Tunnel of Love, there are statues of giant winged Drow Archers/Rocket Imps brandishing bows; however, none are fought in-game, and Drow Archers would not make a full appearance on the 3DS until Skylanders: Trap Team (where they appeared with a proper elf design).
- Despite being broadly called Elves in the 3DS version, they are specifically Drow, an evil subset of Elves (Elf Healers are also referred to as elves).
- Strangely, Drow Archers and Elf Healers are the only two type of Drow to be called Elves.
