Arkeyan Ultrons are ancient war machines first found in the Molekin Mine, where they are stuck in rock and will attack a Skylander when released from the rock. They make their first real appearance in Quicksilver Vault. These robotic warriors are usually guarding gates or other important areas. Its appendages are two giant bomb-launchers. The Ultron first launches a series of guided bombs skyward, then shoots blue tracking beams from its eyes. If the tracking beams hit a Skylander, a red targeting beam locks onto their position, and the previously launched bombs drop down on them.

Arkeyan Ultronsare Arkeyan enemies first encountered in the Molekin Mine, where they are trapped in rocks. Once the Skylanders destroy the rocks, the Ultrons become active and will start to destroy nearby rocks and attack the skylanders by using their arms as drills.

They don’t get a proper introduction until the Quicksilver Vault, where their behavior completely changes. In the Quicksilver Vault, they attack by firing rockets from their two appendages. The Ultrons first launches three series of bombs into the air, then fires a tracking beams from its eyes onto the ground. The tracking beams move toward the Skylanders and can cause damage. Once the tracking beam is set, the bombs rain down in three barrages, with each barrage growing larger and forming a circular pattern. Arkeyan Ultrons will put up a energy shield when not using the tracking beams or during the rocket barrage making them invulnerable.

In Skylanders: Giants, yellow Arkeyan Ultrons make an appearance. They first appear in Secret Vault of Secrets as regular enemies when controlling Machine Ghost's Arkeyan War Machine body, shooting blasts from their appendages.

In Autogyro Adventure, these Ultrons are stationed on the required landing areas throughout the level. They attack the Autogyro that Flynn and the Skylander use to navigate through the level. The Ultrons will hop side to side while attacking. Additionally some hide behind stationary energy shields. These shields must either be broken with rockets or the Skylander must wait until the Ultron jumps to the side of the shield to attack.

Additionally, there are also turret versions of the Arkeyan Ultron that emerge from the ground present. These turret versions only resemble the body and head portion of the Arkeyan Ultrons from Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They shoot rockets at the Autogyro and provide rockets to the Autogyro if defeated.

Trivia

 • Their later variant in the Magic levels has the most health of any non-boss enemy. It is also the only regular enemy capable of surviving a hit from Bash’s Gaia Hammer attack, though due to a glitch, it will get hit by it a second time almost immediately after the first hit, defeating it, and a critical hit from the attack will still defeat it instantly. They are one of the few enemies that aren't introduced when they first appear.
 • They are one of the few enemies that are not introduced in Skylanders: Giants.
 • If you ignore the first Arkeyan Ultron you encounter in Quicksilver Vault and instead take the teleporter and complete the beam puzzles, he will wait there the entire time you’re doing them and will join the fray and attack along with the other enemies that spawn in to impede your progress when you return to the area after completing the puzzles, meaning you will now have to deal with two Arkeyan Ultrons at the same time, or you can kill the Arkeyan Ultron you’re required to kill and leave the other one standing there watching as you collect the Quicksilver and end the level.
 • Drill Sergeant is referenced to be an Arkeyan Ultron, despite looking nothing like any other Arkeyan Ultron encountered in the series.
 • In the Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders: Giants and Skylanders: Swap Force, there are troll driven mechs called Drill Stompers that have a similar model and attacks
