Arkeyan Jousters are the second enemies encountered and the first Arkeyans encountered in Skylanders: Giants. They are melee attackers that slam the ground directly in front of them with their pikes.

Later in Giants, their pikes are charged with electricity and it creates an electric aura around the pike's tip, making their attacks harder to evade. They also have a shield to block other attacks. Whether or not an Arkeyan Jouster is electrically charged can be determined by the color of its armor: non-electrical ones are red and grey, and electrical ones are yellow and green.

Trivia

• Arkeyan Jousters never joust, despite their name. However, the alpha version of Arkeyan Duelists do.
• The Arkeyan Jousters in the boss fight in Bringing Order to Kaos! are slightly different. They are grey and red and don't have shields, but they attack like charged Jousters.
• Very strangely, in Skystones, the Arkeyan Jouster 1 Skystone performs a different attack animation when it takes over other Skystones from all the other Arkeyan Jouster stones. This animation was originally used by Arkeyan Duelists when charging their staff in the Alpha versions.
• Arkeyan Jousters resemble and behave similarly to Arkeyan Defenders and Arkeyan Hammahs from Spyro's Adventure.
  • In Dragon's Peak in Skylanders: Giants, they serve as replacements for the Arkeyan Hammahs.
• In alpha versions of Skylanders: Giants, Arkeyan Jousters reused the models and descriptions of Arkeyan Defenders. At one point, their description was changed to "Trouble by the pound." The charged (yellow and green) versions originally had their own introductory cutscene.
• Arkeyan Jousters tend to have idle animations which are reused Arkeyan Defender animations (such as their attack animation, novelty animation, and their taunt animation).
• The Arkeyan Jousters that fend off the Bark Demon in Secret Vault of Secrets use the same animations as the Arkeyan Duelists' alpha version.
• In Dreadyacht Defenders, Mini-Knights are mistakenly called Arkeyan Jousters.
• Every Freebot uses the Alpha Model of an Arkeyan Jouster.
  • In Metal Hive, several green charged Arkeyan Jousters with the Alpha Model are spectating.
