- “The real one stands out in a crowd.”
- – Enemy description
Arkeyan Cracklers are a floating Arkeyan enemy in Skylanders: Giants.
Unlike most enemies, Arkeyan Cracklers do not attack directly. Instead, they teleport away and summon a group of clones that all look and act identically. The real Crackler, however, can be distinguished by its more pronounced movements. If a clone is destroyed, it explodes, dealing damage to any nearby Skylanders. If the real Crackler is attacked, the clones instantly disappear, forcing the Crackler to cool down before summoning more clones.
Trivia
- Despite their name, Arkeyan Cracklers only appear in non-Arkeyan Chapters and levels.
- Arkeyan Bombers do appear in Drill-X's Big Rig.
- In the alpha version of Giants, Arkeyan Cracklers reused the model of Fire Spell Punks. They also summoned three or more clones, which flickered to indicate their illusory nature.[1]
- In the earliest build of the game, the Arkeyan Crackler in Molekin Mountain runs away from the Skylander after summoning its clones, while the clones chase after the Skylander and explode like Enfuego Chompies.[2]
- Arkeyan Cracklers strangely share sounds with Drow Lance Masters
