The Weapon Master is an Arkeyan who appeared in the console versions of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
Character Development
The design for Weapon Master arose from the concept of a living statue, and he went through many color variations and at some point still had his weapons. Later on, his design would inspire Golden Queen and Barbella.
Personality
The Weapon Master is wise and strong, but he reacts negatively when you say "no" to his question about going to the Quicksilver Vault and the Arkeyan Armory. He has great knowledge over the ancient Arkeyan civilization.
Story
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure
The Arkeyan Weapon Master had laid dormant on an isolated island in the waters of the Ruins for 10,000 years and was presumed to be a statue by the inhabitants. After the Eternal Fire Source was restored, the ancient statue awakened to help the Skylanders retrieve the last components to rebuild the Core of Light: the Quicksilver and Eternal Magic Source, from Quicksilver Vault and Arkeyan Armory respectively.
Skylanders: Giants
The Weapon Master returns in Skylanders: Giants as a projection. His holographic presence is first encountered in the Forgotten Caverns area of the Secret Vault of Secrets, where he challenges the Skylanders to a game of Skystones.
In Autogyro Adventure, he presents another Skystones challenge and provides guidance inside the level's Undead Elemental Gate.
In the Lost City of Arkus, the hologram is initially seen as a recording at the chapter’s start, then reappears outside the Water elemental gate before transitioning into an interactive projection. Throughout the rest of the level, he acts as a guide, explaining various aspects of Arkeyan history and society. As the Skylanders unlock the Grand Imperial Palace, he ominously warns them that "those who enter never return" before sending them back to the Dread-Yacht to prepare for what lies ahead. The hologram's final appearance is outside the Magic elemental gate in Bringing Order to Kaos!.
Quotes
Skylanders Giants
- "It is nice to see you, Skylander. I have been waiting for someone to challenge me at Skystones. Is that someone, you?"
- "Excellent. I look forward to this experience." - when saying 'yes' to Weapon Master
- "That is disappointing. However, I am programmed to amuse myself until the next time for us to play should arise." - When saying 'no' to Weapon Master
- "You have been defeated. I hope that does not discourage you from trying again though." - when losing against Weapon Master
- "That is impressive. I did not think it possible to lose." - when winning against Weapon Master
- "Greetings guest of Arkus. I should warn you that those who enter this Undead location, never come out. All but one legendary explorer, that is. He lost his famous hat inside but did not return to retrieve it."
- "Welcome, Skylander. I did not expect to see you in the secret tunnels leading to the secret entrance to our secret city but since you are here, let us play."
- "Wonderful. Though I am not capable of sounding truly excited, I can only assure you that I am." - when saying 'yes' to Weapon Master
- "Unfortunate. But I guess a simple Skystones game cannot compete with the many secrets of the Arkeyan society." - when saying 'no' to Weapon Master
- "Don't worry, Skylander. I will keep your loss a secret. We Arkeyans are good at that." -when losing against Weapon Master
- "Well played, Skylander. I suppose it is no secret that you are quite good at this game." - when winning against Weapon Master
- "Welcome to Arkus. I am a recording. According to my internal clock, over 10,000 years have passed since I was last activated. Hopefully this is not an indication of any problems related to the Arkeyan society."
- "Welcome to Arkus. This message was recorded over 10,000 years ago so I cannot be sure what has changed, but this was once our only natural spring. The waters were known to have mystical properties to all who bathed in them, perhaps due to the hat that lies within."
- "Welcome to Arkus. We Arkeyans are always looking for secret places to stash our many treasures. This city is full of such places and feel free to hide treasure anywhere you wish."
- "This is a Roboto-Ball, used for the sport also called, Roboto-Ball. It was once quite popular in Arkeyan society, but eventually outlawed. You are permitted to play with it though."
- "This is the door that leads to our Grand Imperial Palace. If it were only an Imperial Palace, it would only require one energy beam to activate, but as it is a Grand Imperial Palace, it will require TWO energy beams."
- "Well done! You may now enter the Grand Imperial Palace. Though I must warn you: All who enter never return. In fact, it's probably best if I transport you back to your ship so you can prepare for a long stay. I will summon you back when you are ready."
- "Welcome to one of the more magical places in Arkus. Few understood the power of magic like the Arkeyans. Of course even fewer could figure out how to recover the hat in there without being blasted repeatedly by lasers."

Trivia
- The Wii version has a glitch with the Weapon Master that happens when you say no to going to Arkeyan Armory after finishing Quicksilver Vault. This causes him to revert back and stay in his sleeping state. If you run into this glitch you will have to reset your game. The Skylanders Annual 2013 pokes fun at this glitch, mentioning he doesn't enjoy taking a "no" for an answer.
- The Weapon Master refers to himself as 'we' and as several Weapon Masters, implying he includes his entire rank or even species as the same individual.
- Unlike in Spyro’s Adventure, where the real Weapon Master is encountered in person, the Weapon Master himself never physically appears in Giants; only his hologram is present.
- In Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, the original Weapon Master appears as a live projection to guide the Skylanders through the Arkeyan levels in the game. This is similar to how the Weapon Master Hologram functions in Giants, reinforcing the idea that Arkeyans had advanced holographic technology.
- The nature of the Weapon Master's Hologram is somewhat inconsistent throughout the game. It is referred to as a recording outside the Water elemental gate in the Lost City of Arkus and at the start of the level but behaves as a live projection everywhere else in the game.
- While he is referred to as the Weapon Master in Giants, this is not the case in Bringing Order to Kaos!, where he is identified only as "Hologram" in his dialogue box.
- A floor mural in Time of the Giants appears to depict one of the Weapon Masters.
- In the Skystones battle in Autogyro Adventure, the board is covered with four elemental squares, each representing Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. This is most likely a nod to the classic elemental quartet commonly seen in mythology, fantasy, and various forms of media like Avatar: The Last Airbender.
