The Desert of Columns is a mysterious and ancient plain that is covered with incredibly tall and seemingly never-ending columns that stretch into the clouds. No one knows how high the columns reach, and according to Master Eon, only one man has ever tried to climb them but he disappeared 17 years ago. No one knows how far he got.[1]
In Spyro versus the Mega Monsters, Spyro, Drill Sergeant and Jet-Vac were called to the Desert of Columns to answer a distress call by Diggs. The Molekin was attacked by a large, troll monster while helping with an archaeological dig of the area in the desert. When Kaos arrived and 'dealt' with the troll, Diggs was dismayed that he didn't get the chance to thank Kaos when the Portal Master left.
