Aku Aku is the spirit of a witch doctor haunting a wooden mask who assists Crash Bandicoot with speech and temporary invulnerability in Skylanders: Imaginators. He is also a guide in the Thumpin' Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack.
Story
In the Crash Bandicoot franchise, Aku Aku was a powerful witch doctor who fought evil even before his death, when he placed his spirit inside the mask. After encountering Crash in the first game, he decided to help the bandicoot in his adventures.
Skylanders: Imaginators
Aku Aku coordinated the Synchronization Celebration, in which Skylands converged with the Wumpa Islands every 20 years. Though the festivities in the island seemed normal at the start and his greatest worries were Crash partying at the wrong side, Dr. Neo Cortex and Fake Crash's meddlings disrupt the Good Vibes of the islands and the Bad Vibes now threaten to shake them apart. Aku Aku then joins Mags and Spyro as they investigate.
Trivia
- Though he has his Crash of the Titans voice actor, his appearance is the one from Wrath of Cortex.
- Aku Aku's brother is the evil Uka Uka, who Cortex uses as one of his abilities. However, Uka Uka never makes a full speaking appearance in Imaginators.
- Though his role with Crash is similar to Skylander duos such as Fright Rider or Rocky Roll, he only assists the bandicoot indirectly, instead of fighting along.
