Batterson is a Molekin baker who resides in Darklight Crypt in the console versions of Skylanders. He has a brother named Hatterson, who sells hats.
Story
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure
When Batterson started selling pies to the Undead, they loved his pies and gave up eating the brains of the Living. It was a win-win situation, until the ghosts suddenly stopped buying the pies.
Batterson explained the basics between the Real World and the Ghost World to the Skylanders and sent them to Darklight Crypt to find out why the Ghosts had stopped coming to buy pies as he was in danger of losing his pie shop to the bank. After the Skylanders defeated Occulous, who was the one responsible for the Ghosts not coming to buy the pies, Batterson decided to begin using the Undead as employees to sell his pies throughout the Skylands to expand his business, making them available on other levels (in the Wii version).
Skylanders: Giants
Batterson appeared in Shroomboom`s Heroic Challenge, called "Baking With Batterson", where the player helped Batterson collect all fruits to his pie.
Skylanders: Trap Team
Batterson was held against his will by Chef Pepper Jack along with several other chefs in the Chef Zeppelin's Command Kitchen. He taught the Skylanders how to play the game of Skystones Smash. When Pepper Jack was defeated, Batterson arrived in the Skylanders Academy and became the school chef.

Skylanders: Lost Islands
Batterson is an unlockable companion in Skylanders: Lost Islands, and can be purchased with 200 Gems. Upon being unlocked, he makes it possible to find more Kudos in friends' Kingdoms.

Trivia
- Despite the game saying pies become available on other levels in Spyro's Adventure, they only appear in the Wii version.
- The pies do, however, appear in other levels in all console versions of Giants.
- He is the first chef in the series, while the second is Chef Pepper Jack.
- In the Spyro's Adventure version of Darklight Crypt, Batterson produces Diggs's "ouch!" sound effect when hit.
- In the Xbox 360 version of Spyro's Adventure, Batterson's name doesn't appear over his text box when speaking in the Ghost World.
