Spider Spitters are pod-like enemies first seen in the Crawling Catacombs in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They spit out Skitterbooms and will only stop once they are destroyed.
Spider Spitters return in Skylanders: Giants, appearing only in The Oracle, though they do not receive a proper introduction. In Skylanders: Giants, they now spit out Spiderlings instead of Skitterbooms.
