Game description

Corn Hornets are the first enemy met in Treetop Terrace. These hornets shoot painful stingers that temporarily stun Skylanders when hit. A hornet's stinger can be dodged from afar, but is impossible to miss when close. If one's needle gets you, shake the controller as instructed onscreen.

There are clockwork versions of the Corn Hornet who appear as enemies in the Ancient Woods level located in the 3DS version of Skylanders: Swap Force.

Corn Hornets also make an appearance in the Full Blast Skylanders comic, as minions of Cross Crow. Instead of stunning their targets, their stingers cause them to lose consciousness for a short amount of time.

Trivia

  • The pain of a Corn Hornet's sting can be eased by applying banana gravy directly to the affected area, and crying uncontrollably for several hours.[1]
  • The Corn Hornets bare a slight resemblance to the Buzz Bombers, a type of Badnik, from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series.
