    • His name may also be a play on the type of bread "Barley".
  • Barkley is the only sidekick whose name isn't a pun on their regular-sized counterparts.
  • Barkley is currently the only sidekick in Skylanders: Lost Islands who has not been updated to have a high pitched version of his original counterpart's voice.
  • He is the only sidekick to appear in a starter pack.
