The Platinum Treasure Chest is a silvery-gold version of the Hidden Treasure. It is available in the Skylanders: Battlegrounds mobile Starter Pack, along with Series 2 Cynder, Jet-Vac, and Royal Double Trouble.
Using the Platinum Treasure Chest in Skylanders: Battlegrounds has several perks.
- All items will be automatically unlocked, rather than needing to buy them with Gems.
- All item slots will be automatically unlocked.
- You will be given the Light of the Champions Gem and gain bonus experience points.
If used in the console game, it only acts as a regular Hidden Treasure with the exact same functionality.

Trivia
- The Platinum Treasure Chest acts as a regular treasure chest in the game, thus it is impossible to obtain it in the Collection menu for Skylanders: Swap Force.
- Since it was noticed that it was impossible to obtain in the games it has now been completely removed from the collection menu in Skylanders: Trap Team and future games.
- It is compatible with Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, where it has the same functionality as the regular Hidden Treasure item.
