Barkley is one of the four Sidekicks in Skylanders: Giants. He is the miniature version of the giant Tree Rex. He will be in the Nintendo 3DS Starter Pack of Skylanders: Trap Team along with the Trap Master, Gusto.

- Barkley is a play on the word tree bark which is a part of a tree.
- His name may also be a play on the type of bread "Barley".
- Barkley is the only sidekick whose name isn't a pun on their regular-sized counterparts.
- Barkley is currently the only sidekick in Skylanders: Lost Islands who has not been updated to have a high pitched version of his original counterpart's voice.
- He is the only sidekick to appear in a starter pack.
