Gobble Pods are non-hostile, endangered plant-creatures in Cascade Glade. They are always hungry, and hardly ever close their mouths in the hope of getting something yummy to eat.[1] According to Tessa, they only eat "bad guys," including Chompies and Greebles. However, this trait causes the Greebles to imprison the Gobble Pods until the Skylanders freed them. If a Gobble Pod can't reach an enemy with its long tongue, it will whip the enemies with its roots until it's close enough to eat.
When a Gobble Pod eats an enemy, it will spit out gold coins that the enemy had carried.

- Gobble Pods underwent a vast variety of concepts prior to their final designs, including versions with bright tropical colors and tall, round, or flat shapes.[2]
- Gobble Pods were originally called "Sawmouths."[3]
