Stormblade was originally a peacock-like creature under the Magic element, until one little girl, a play-tester, informed Vicarious Visions that "girl peacocks aren't colorful, they are actually brown."[1] Further development on Stormblade's design had one of her potential concepts being more raven-like, before designing her as a sky-diver stunt bird. Other previous designs included her being in the Dark and Light elements.

Background
Personality
Stormblade is a fearless daredevil with an unquenchable thirst for adventure. She is naturally excited about things, including participating in missions and dedicating herself to training. Stormblade is also very confident in the good in people she looks up to, as seen in her attempts to redeem Ghost Roaster in Secret Agent Secrets. However, her tendency to not stick to one thought also makes her somewhat slow on the uptake, as seen on Story of Nightfall where she mistakes Nightfall's story about traumatized citizens to be about mind attacks from Leviathans.
Biography
From the moment she left the nest, Stormblade had always pushed the boundaries, seeking to travel further than anyone had ever gone. At a young age, she made the bold leap off of her home island and plummeted through the deep blue sky in an attempt to find the bottom of Skylands – only to find no such bottom existed. This did not fulfill her curiosity, nor did it sway her belief there was something else beyond the limits of her world. Soon she built a custom ship, the Sky Slicer, and raced to the furthest reaches of Skylands in search of its end – but no end could be found. She wanted answers, and so she came to the one person that could help her – Master Eon. The Portal Master instantly saw the unquenchable thirst for exploration that resided in Stormblade, and asked her to join the Skylanders on a very special mission that would take her through the uncharted rifts between worlds!
Story
Rift into Overdrive
Spitfire and Stormblade introducting themselves to the Skylanders
Stormblade first met Spitfire while the flame spirit was outrunning the rifts around Skylands. After they both help evacuated the royal family of Stormy Stronghold, the grateful residents pointed Stormblade and Spitfire to Know-It-All Island where the Stone Heads might know what was causing the rifts. Instead they arrived in time to save Flynn, Blobbers, and the Skylanders, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac, Gill Grunt and Terrafin from a rift that consumed the entire Island. After taking the group to safety, Spitfire and Stormblade introduced themselves, Dive-Clops and Fiesta to the Skylanders. Although they are non-Skylanders, the SuperChargers insisted on helping the Skylanders find the Rift Engines with their vehicles since the Skylanders' mode of transportation was swallowed by the rift back at Know-It-All Island.
The Stone Head's last cryptic message lead the Skylanders and SuperChargers to the Whirlpool of Destiny in the Swirling Sea. While the land and air Skylanders held off a group of Drow warriors that ambushed them at the shore, Dive-Clops and Gill Grunt dove to the underwater depths of the Swirling Sea to find the Rift Engines. The Water duo eventually succeeded just as the other Skylanders were becoming overwhelmed, hauling a massive chest to the surface that contained the Rift Engines inside. With the power of the Rift Engines, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac, Gill Grunt and Terrafin transformed into SuperChargers and easily defeated the attacking Drow forces, driving them off.
Now having enough Rift Engines to stop Kaos and his latest plan, the Skylanders invited Stormblade and the other SuperChargers to become full-fledged Skylanders, to which they eagerly accepted.
Secret Agent Secrets
Stormblade, Spitfire and Nightfall were assigned their first mission as Skylanders by Spyro to find the missing Skylanders, Boomer, Ghost Roaster, and Voodood. While the lark SuperCharger was excited about going on the mission, her eagerness irritated Nightfall when they arrived at Motleyville. After a scuffle with three Spell Punks who rendered their vehicles useless, the three SuperChargers were rendered unconscious by Boomer, Ghost Roaster and Voodood, who were now under the service of Spellslamzer.
Stormblade springing into action
With the three SuperChargers imprisoned and brought back to Spellhold, Spellslamzer announced his plan to raid the Mabu Radiance mines of its rare and powerful minerals, controlling the crystal supply to become the supreme power in all of Skylands. As Stormblade wondered why Voodood, Ghost Roaster, and Boomer would turn their backs on Skylands and Master Eon, Ghost Roaster revealed that he and the other two Elites grew tired of being tossed aside and forgotten while the Skylanders such as the SuperChargers, SWAP Force and the Giants are more appreciated. With reluctant cooperation from Nightfall, the SuperChargers were able to escape their prison, with Stormblade and Nightfall getting into another argument on their way to the vehicle station.
Before they could reach their vehicles, the SuperChargers were ambushed by a corrupt Voodood. Stormblade angrily confronted the Magic Skylander, refusing to believe that he had betrayed the Skylanders and Master Eon. She hesitated to take Voodood out as she knew that she didn't become a Skylander to fight other Skylanders. However in her moment of hesitation, Stormblade was struck and knocked unconscious by Ghost Roaster, allowing Spellslamzer and the corrupt Elites to tie her, Spitfire and Nightfall to the front of their own vehicles as the villains ride out towards the Radiance mines to begin their attack.
It seemed hopeless as the SuperChargers remained strapped to their vehicles outside the mines while the villains and the corrupt Elite Skylanders began terrorizing the Mabu miners. Stormblade held onto the bright side of the situation, which only further irritated Nightfall who had already given up hope. One of the minions of Spellslamzer came to the imprisoned SuperChargers and revealed himself to be special agent Softpaw. The fox spy revealed that he, Voodood, Ghost Roaster and Boomer had gone undercover pretending to be evil in order to infiltrate Spellslamzer's operations, an act that surprised the SuperChargers. By the time the SuperChargers came to assist the Elites, they were shocked to discover that Ghost Roaster was still on Spellslamzer's side, forcing the heroic Skylanders to fight against their enemies and former ally. Stormblade went for Spellslamzer, but was cut off by Ghost Roaster. During the fight, the lark Skylander managed to pin Ghost Roaster down by having his own ball and chain get stuck to the ground.
When Ghost Roaster demanded that he be taken down like any other bad guy, Stormblade refused, reminding Ghost Roaster that he was a hero and someone who held a special kind of courage to risk so much for no reward. She refused to fight Ghost Roaster, leaving her open for attack as Ghost Roaster moved in for the final blow. Instead, to everyone's surprise, Ghost Roaster threw his ball and chain at the Radiance crystals under Spellslamzer, blowing them up and defeating Spellslamzer. Stormblade's lingering belief in Ghost Roaster helped save the day, as well earned her Nightfall's respect, sparking a friendship between the two Skylanders at last.
Other appearances
Skylanders: Ring of Heroes
Stormblade is one of the featured Skylanders in Story of Nightfall. At some point before its events, she and Spitfire had to escort the Earth Portal Master through an unnamed lagoon, only to see villains with strange behavior that changed colors and attacked when encountered.
While on their first Skylander mission in Secret Agent Secrets, Stormblade's eagerness annoyed Nightfall, who expressed her annoyance towards the lark. In return, Stormblade defended her naturally excited personality and called Nightfall "a walking bummer cloud". Throughout the mission, the two Skylanders went at each other, irritating Spitfire. After the battle with Spellslamzer, Stormblade earned Nightfall's respect when she managed to redeem Ghost Roaster, finally putting their hostilities aside. In Ring of Heroes, though they tolerate each other more, they still bicker often over not understanding each other's point of view.
Gameplay
With speed as her friend, Stormblade can dash about the battlefield hurling feathered blades and strike enemies like a moving torpedo. In Skylanders: Battlecast, she can also summon the Sky Slicer for a Strafing Run, assume the Lightning Claw Stance to gain power and intimidate her enemies, and shoot blade beams randomly. Her Special Ability are the Feather Blades to randomly attack an enemy, and her signature gear is the Beam Splitter, a cubic prism that adds damage to previous attacks. Stormblade is also notable in that, like Jet-Vac, her special abilities are cheap to use and very powerful if the random numbers favor the player. Her scrapped signature relic is the Slicer Beacon, which can call upon the Sky Slicer when they obtain cards.
