The Three Teleporters is a Heroic Challenge in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants that is unlocked by Hex. It uses a map similar in design to Cadaverous Crypt and requires the Golden Spork to be collected in under three minutes.
The beginning of the Challenge features a long corridor of spike traps; the second portion of this can be safely avoided simply by going around it. At the end of the spike traps, three teleporters will appear and one must be chosen. Each teleporter takes the Skylander to a specific area of the map; in each of these areas is a teleporter to return to the original three teleporters and a large stone button that is guarded by enemies. Two of the buttons are randomly chosen at the beginning of the Challenge and have gates blocking them; each button will unlock one of the gates guarding another button and one of the gates leading to the Golden Spork. The cutscene following the pressing of a button shows what gate has been opened, so it is easy to follow from that point onward.
Because there is no way to tell what gate is open first, taking either the left or middle teleporters is a wise option because you can see whether or not the button in the area adjacent to you is open; if the gate in that area and the gate in the area you are in are both closed, the process of elimination can tell you that the rightmost teleporter leads to the first open button.
Enemies
Spyro's Adventure
- Spider Spitters
- Gargantulas
- Shadow Knights
- Mini-Knights
- An unnamed spider enemy that only appears as an enemy in this heroic challenge. It resembles a Spider Swarmer but is slightly larger than them and is green. There are two of them in the level, and they both hang by one silk thread each. They can’t move from their spawn area, but can move slightly up and down the threads they hang on, with a unique animation to go along with it. If you get close enough to them, they will perform a unique attack animation, and they have unique sounds not heard from any other enemy, as well as unique idle animations, but the attack in question does no damage, so they are completely harmless. Like all heroic challenge enemies, they have very low health. The model for this spider is used for the spider that chases T-Bone in the beginning cutscene of Crawling Catacombs (XPEC). It’s possible this enemy was supposed to appear in Crawling Catacombs and possibly the other undead levels, and two of them were placed in this heroic challenge before they were fully complete to test their functionality, but they were cut at the very last second, hence their absence from the main levels, and the devs seemingly forgot to remove them from the heroic challenge.
Giants
- Spider Spitters
- Gargantulas
- Shadow Dukes
- Drow Lance Masters
Trivia
- The Golden Spork would later appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as a cameo.
- The mysterious green spider enemies in this heroic challenge are the only enemies in all of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure to have no known name; the other three heroic challenge-exclusive enemies in the game, Mini-Clopses, Mini-Knights, and Bone Chompies all have names. Bone Chompies would even make a reappearance as story mode enemy in Skylanders: Giants and Skylanders: Trap Team, and one of them is even a capturable villain in the later title.
