Thunderbolt is one of the Air Trap Masters in Skylanders: Trap Team.
Background
Physical Traits
Thunderbolt's body is made up of swirling dark clouds. His back and his stomach both are equipped with a steel plate embedded with the Trap Master logo. His face is light blue with yellow eyes that have red pupils, blue lightning streak eyebrows, and an steel head plating embroidered with the Air element that reaches across his forehead and steel shoulder guards. His hands have four fingers and they are light blue with steel arm guards.
Personality
Thunderbolt is a fierce competitor who faces each opponent with honor and bravery.[1]
Biography
Epically strong and heroically competitive, Thunderbolt grew up on legendary Mount Cloudpierce. Every year, his people held a contest to determine who would wield the Storm Sword – a legendary blade with the power to change the seasons in Skylands. To Thunderbolt, this would be a great honor. But on the day he won the contest and was about to be presented with the sword, a Frost Mage snatched it and plunged all of Skylands into a wintery deep-freeze. Undaunted, Thunderbolt bravely took chase. Riding twin bolts of chained lightning, he overtook the mage, reclaimed the sword, and restored balance to the weather systems in Skylands. For his heroic actions, Thunderbolt was made a member of the Trap Team, and he now uses his Traptanium Storm Sword to strike evil at every turn!
Gameplay
Thunderbolt can use his enormous Traptanium Storm Sword which causes lightning to blast out with every swing, he can also use it to create a tornado that pulls in enemies. Thunderbolt can even shoot storm clouds from his own cloudy body which shocks enemies.

Starting Powers
- Lightning Sword (Primary Attack): Press (Y) to slashe 3 times with his sword. 2 slashes will fire a spark of electricity and the last slash will do area damage.
- Thundery Cloud (Secondary Attack): Press (X) to spawn a thundery cloud that constantly does damage to enemies.
- Tornado (requires level: 3): Hold (X) to spawn a tornado in front of Thunderbolt that will suck enemies in and will damage them while they are in the tornado.
- Cloud Cluster (requires level: 7): Shooting sparks on clouds by pressing (Y) will make the clouds shoot lightning bolts on enemies and other clouds. You can also merge clouds to make them more powerful by creating them close to each other by pressing (X).
- Ground Stab Finisher (requires level: 9): Press (Y), (Y), and hold (X) to perform a combo finisher: Thunderbolt will plant his sword in the ground while doing heavy damage around him.
- Trap Attack: Fill up the Trap Attack gauge by defeating enemies and collecting TRAPTANIUM shards.
Once the gauge is full, press [L] to unleash a devastating attack, unique to each Trap Master!

- Both of their names are based on electricity.
- The name of Thunderbolt's home, Mount Cloudpierce, is similar to Mount Cloudbreak.
- His Soul Gem ability has the same name from Cynder's Wow Pow from Skylanders: Giants.
- There is a glitch that removes Thunderbolt's cloud and make him appear without any legs. To perform this the player must approach the Mirror of Mystery next to the vortex. Pressing the button will allow Glumshanks to come. The player has to press "NO" to make the cloud disappear.
- In Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing, instead of his regular catchphrase, he'll say "Taking the World by Storm".[2]
