Fiery but disarming, Blast Zone always puts the safety of his friends first. He is always most likely to blow a fuse.[1]
Biography
As a young furnace knight, Blast Zone was part of the Skylands Bomb Squad, specializing in the safe disarming and removal of troll bombs. But it was not long before the trolls got tired of Blast Zone constantly thwarting their evil plans, so they decided to go after the furnace knight himself. Late one night, an army of trolls snuck into Blast Zone’s village and threw 100 bombs down his chimney. Acting quickly, Blast Zone swallowed each bomb and then belched a jet of fire back at the invaders – sending them fleeing with their boots on fire. The tale of the attack eventually reached the ear of Master Eon, who knew the brave furnace knight had all the makings of a Skylander.
Blast Zone also bears a resemblance to the Fire Skylander, Ignitor, as both Skylanders are composed of flames and wear armor.
His catchphrase is a play on "Fast and Furious".
Blast Zone is voiced by Jess Harnell, who is best known for voicing Captain Hero from Drawn Together, Wakko Warner and Pinky from Animaniacs and Ironhide from the Transformers films, and is the current voice actor for Crash Bandicoot.
Blast Zone looks similar to the Fire Geargolems, except that Fire Geargolems are larger and look more robotic.
When on Blast Zone's Ignition path, any projectiles used by Skylanders that pass through his wall of fire will catch fire just like his bombs do and deal 12% extra damage.
Blast Zone is the second Skylander to use round bombs while Boomer is the first. However, he throws them instead of laying them on the ground and/or kicking them towards enemies.
He and Boom Jet are the only Rocket SWAP Force Skylanders.
They also both work with explosives.
He and Doom Stone both have their bottom half names rhyme.
He and Spy Rise are the only SWAP Force Skylanders to not wear a belt.
There is a glitch that sometimes occurs in the Wii version where Blast will not say his catchphrase, just like in the demo version.
There is a glitch that sometimes occurs in the Wii version where the flame on top of his head won't ignite.
These two glitches return in Trap Team.
