Pirate Frigates are large ships used by Pirates throughout in Spyro's Adventure and Giants. They attack by firing cannonballs and often need to be destroyed using a Turret or by controlling the pirate ship in Pirate Seas. They are first seen in Leviathan Lagoon, where one attempts to escape with one of the shrine statues. Another appears in Pirate Seas, where it can be destroyed in an optional Turret Section to obtain the level’s Legendary Treasure (a Treasure Chest in Giants).
In both Windjammer Bay and Pontoon Point, they fire directly at the Skylander. Two Pirate Frigates are encountered in Windjammer Bay, while one is encountered in Pontoon Point which begins to fire from wave 2 on.
