Pirate Frigates are large ships used by Pirates throughout the series. They attack by firing cannonballs and often need to be destroyed using a Turret or by controlling the pirate ship in Pirate Seas. They are first seen in Leviathan Lagoon, where one attempts to escape with one of the shrine statues. Another appears in Pirate Seas, where it can be destroyed in an optional turret section to obtain the level’s Legendary Treasure (a treasure chest in Skylanders: Giants).
Pirate Frigates are also seen actively attacking the Skylander in the Nintendo 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure and Giants, specifically in Windjammer Bay and Pontoon Point, where they aim and fire directly at the skylander.
