The Ultimate Weapon is the eighteenth and final chapter in the Story Mode of Skylanders: Trap Team. This enormous, high-tech weapon was built by Dr. Krankcase and is capable of harnessing the limitless energy of Traptanium, enabling it to shrink entire islands. After traversing its dangerous layers, the Skylanders must confront Kaos, who is now empowered by the influence of Traptanium and threatens to pull the player (the Portal Master) from their world and imprison them in Traptanium.

Trivia
- Early in development, the weapon used to be called the Doomsday Machine.[1]
- The Golden Queen's symbol can be seen on parts of the Ultimate Weapon's floor, hinting at her role in the weapon's creation.
- Dr. Krankcase's green goo can also be seen traveling in pipes throughout the level's background.
- One of the egg-shaped birds from the Phoenix Psanctuary appears at the start of this level and runs away when approached.
- Golden Queen can interact with piggy banks scattered throughout the level in order to obtain bonus treasure. Strangely, her interactions cause the piggy banks to wheeze out green goo; a symbol more strongly associated with Dr. Krankcase.
- Glumshanks appears as an optional Skystones challenger, seeking to "distract" the player from confronting Kaos.
- The Ultimate Weapon is one of two Levels in Trap Team without any destructible Traptanium Crystals, the other is Chef Zeppelin.
