The Boney Islands is the tenth chapter of Skylanders: Swap Force. Here, the Skylanders must evacuate the Frost Elves from the ice museum during a Cyclops attack.

Description

Boney Islands is a frozen Elf museum carved into the side of several icebergs. Dinosaur fossils and amber blocks decorate the level, along with icicle hazards and long caravan segments. The level's sky matches its blue-and-white color scheme, with a snowy white mist rolling over the ground and snowflakes drifting down from the sky.

Trivia

  • The amber pushblocks in this level were originally going to include giant frozen insects trapped inside to give the pushblocks "some personality".[1]
  • In Swap Force's alpha, Boney Islands reused music from Empire of Ice.[2]
  • According to Alpha build dialogue, Avril's caravan would originally become stuck in snow while the player fell to a lower part of the level, requiring the Skylanders to get back up and clear the snow using a horned skull as a drill. Later, Avril would give the Skylanders a tour of the museum, counselling them to remain "behind the velvet ropes" while she drew their attention to a fossil called the "Remains of the Day" and the frosty remains of an "ancient squequack" followed by an enemy ambush.[3]
