Soul Gems are glowing gem-like treasures that unlock a special upgrade for a specific Skylander. They are found in all chapters of the console versions of Skylanders: Spyro's AdventureSkylanders: Giants, and in Skylanders: Swap Force.

After a gem has been found, the corresponding upgrade can be bought from Persephone.

It should be noted that you can only find Adventure Pack Soul Gems in their respective level they come with (example: Sunburn's soul gem can only be found in the Adventure Pack level he comes with: the Dragon's Peak).

Trivia

  • In Giants, two different songs can play when you get a Soul Gem; this normally depends as if you get it relatively early it just plays the music that comes on when you get all the other collectibles but if it is near the end of the chapter it plays music similar to the Skylanders Theme Song.
