Golden Gear
The Golden Gear is a component of the Core of Light featured in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Plucked from the Machinery of the Universe, it helps power the Core once it is greased by the Green Goo of Primordia and paired with the Eternal Tech Source.
Story
Following the destruction of the Core of Light, the Golden Gear was taken by the Trolls and held in storage within their warehouse. Alongside Snuckles, the Skylanders infiltrates the warehouse, battles the Trolls, and collects the gear.
Once the Golden Gear returns to the Ruins, it is connected to the incomplete Core of Light, which causes multiple gears to sprout within the underground vines created by the Eternal Life Source. Additionally, the Core rises, and gears jut out across its circumference.

Trivia
- In the cutscene of the Golden Gear being added to the Core of Light, the gear appears to be much smaller and has a completely different shape.
